花枝には短い枝も、長い枝もありますが、それぞれの良さを生かして、全体として調和が取れているので、私たちもそれぞれがそれぞれらしく生きようと言う禅語に、水墨画家の小山汀雪先生に梅の絵を描いていただきました。

Just as flower branches vary in length—some short, some long—
each possesses its own beauty, and together they form a harmonious whole.
This Zen saying teaches us that we, too, may live as we are,
each in our own way.
Inspired by this teaching,
the plum blossom was painted by the sumi-e artist Teisetsu Koyama.
